Sportster in my shed meant dragging my own bike out for an overdue gallop round the hills. It used to be the case that the straight 883 was equipped with a dual-seat while the hugger got the smaller single perch, and I'd welcome a return to that principle: it makes more sense in the absence of a streetable two-up 883. You could go the XL53C route, sure, but that is a very different bike in so many ways with bars and footrests compromising the streetbike stance of the 883.
